The Medical Reviewer is responsible for ensuring that all promotional and non-promotional materials comply with applicable regulatory standards and internal policies. This role provides scientific expertise and guidance aligned with the ABPI Code of Practice, supporting the development, review, and approval of content that promotes the safe and appropriate use of medicines while enabling effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials in accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice
Act as the Appropriately Qualified Professional (AQP) when applicable
Provide scientific input and compliance guidance during the development of medical and marketing content
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Medical Affairs, Marketing, Regulatory) to support content creation and approval processes
Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials related to compliance and scientific standards
Support regulatory submissions by ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable guidelines
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance strategies
Manage complaints, inquiries, and intercompany communications related to materials and compliance issues
Ensure all materials are accurate, balanced, and supported by appropriate scientific evidence

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and relevant regulatory frameworks
Ability to interpret and apply complex scientific data to content development and review
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Sound judgment and ability to make compliance-focused decisions

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field required (advanced degree preferred)
Certification as an Appropriately Qualified Professional (AQP) preferred
5–7 years of experience in medical review, regulatory affairs, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
