About the Opportunity

We specialize in ensuring that medical records are meticulously reviewed, processed, and maintained to meet strict regulatory standards. As part of a forward-thinking remote team, you will ensure data integrity and support high-quality patient care. The candidate(s) will be hired as consultants up to 40 hours per week (flexible scheduling). This is a remote position.
Role Responsibilities
• Review and verify incoming patient medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
• Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies or incomplete data to relevant healthcare professionals.
• Maintain organized digital files and manage confidential information using EMR systems.
• Collaborate remotely with team members to streamline data intake processes and ensure timely record updates.
• Generate precise, action-oriented reports on record intake status and data integrity for management review.
• Uphold and promote best practices in managing sensitive medical information in a fast-paced environment.
Skills Qualifications
• Must-Have: Proven experience in medical records management, healthcare documentation, or related fields.
• Must-Have: In-depth knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and strong attention to detail.
• Must-Have: Competence in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and data entry tools.
• Must Have: Possess and maintains a current and comprehensive understanding of coding rules, changes, and guidelines as defined by the AMA.
• Preferred: Certification or training in Health Information Management or related disciplines.
• Preferred: Excellent remote communication skills and ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
