About the position

As an Assistant for Medical Office Operations, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily administrative functions of our medical practice. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include managing billing, coordinating schedules, and facilitating communication between doctors and patients. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail to ensure efficient office operations.

Responsibilities
• Organize and process medical billing, including reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and following up on discrepancies or outstanding payments.

• Assist with managing doctor schedules, coordinating appointment times, and ensuring effective communication between doctors and staff.

• Act as a liaison between doctors to ensure timely communication regarding patient care and scheduling.

• Handle incoming calls and emails, providing excellent customer service and directing inquiries appropriately.
,
• Call patients to confirm appointments, provide reminders, and relay important information as necessary.
,
• Assist with filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
,
• Help with day-to-day office management tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting or administrative role.
,
• Experience with medical billing and scheduling is a plus.
,
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
,
• Proficiency with office management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic billing practices is an advantage.
