Medical Insurance Collections Specialist (REMOTE)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Follow up on invoices sent to payers that have not yet been paid
- Research denials and work on converting them for payment
- Process at least 5 claims per hour while managing a portfolio of payers
- Assist with billing efforts by eliminating denials and keeping payer rules up to date
- Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly collection goals set by management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Medical Insurance Collections, healthcare, medical office, or customer service
- Proficient in Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong basic math and accounting skills
- Proven ability to manage in a high call volume environment with accuracy and efficiency

- Experience in a medical collections role
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Quick-thinking and effective problem-solving abilities
