What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Communicate with patients/clients and referral sources to address questions and concerns in a timely manner
- Process all patient information and paperwork for durable medical equipment and respiratory products
- Maintain accurate records, including updating the respiratory grid and managing referral logs
- Verify insurance coverage information for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
- Provide technical assistance to customers and assist with retail/walk-in equipment requests
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driverΒs license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
- Background investigation and drug screening (when applicable)
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with medical equipment
- Knowledge of medical billing practices and reimbursement
- One year of related work experience in the medical field
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience in administrative record management
