Position: Public Health Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $45β$65/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
β’ Build a realistic digital workspace centered on the Drive folders you use daily. Include surveillance summaries, grant applications, program evaluations, and health-assessment reports.
β’ Design multi-step tasks based on real workflows. Require navigating multiple apps, files, and stakeholders to challenge frontier AI agents.
β’ Collaborate with other public-health experts to design the environment and shape task scope. Review scenarios for realism and rigor.
β’ Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for public-health agent benchmarks.
β’ Contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking. Your work informs how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
Qualifications
Must-Have
β’ 3+ years of full-time experience at a federal health agency, large state/county health department, major academic school of public health, or F500 population-health organization.
β’ Background in epidemiology, surveillance, outbreak investigation, health policy, or program evaluation.
β’ Day-to-day use of Esri ArcGIS, Google Maps Platform, SAS, MATLAB, and Socrata/Esri ArcGIS Hub.
β’ Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.
Preferred
β’ MPH, PhD, or DrPH. Fluency in biostatistics or GIS.

β’ Transition from an effective hourly rate to compensation based on throughput of quality work.
