Medical Data Entry Specialist
Robert Half is partnering with a Minneapolis, Minnesota based healthcare client in search of a contract Medical Data Entry Specialist to assist them with managing a significant backlog of administrative authorizations. This role is mission-critical as the backlog is creating several downstream challenges with providing services and ultimately billing for the associated services. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a high volume, fast paced environment that requires a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
⢠Accurately input, process, and manage medical and administrative documentation for a variety of patients.
⢠Review, verify, and organize client documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with established guidelines.
⢠Collaborate with the clientâs leadership team to prioritize and resolve backlog cases effectively.
⢠Conduct quality checks on entered data to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and completeness.
⢠Maintain data integrity by spotting and correcting discrepancies or incomplete entries in a timely manner.
⢠Handle sensitive and confidential client information with a high degree of professionalism and adherence to compliance regulations, including HIPAA.
⢠Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues or obtain missing information.
⢠Provide periodic progress updates to leadership on the status of addressing the backlog.
⢠Support process improvement initiatives to enhance workflows and optimize data entry efficiency.
Qualifications:
⢠2+ years of prior data entry experience, ideally in the healthcare field.
⢠Comfort level working in a fast paced, ever changing environment that requires an extreme level of attention to detail.
⢠8,000+ ksph data entry skills
⢠Experience working in a mission driven organization is highly desired
⢠Associates in Business preferred, but not required
Compensation
$19.00-$21.00 Hourly
