Job Title: Remote Medical Debt Collections Representative
What is a Medical Debt Collections Representative?
Medical Debt Collections Representatives are responsible for all functions related to the collection of payment on outstanding medical debt.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM 5PM (some Saturdays may be required with a schedule of 8AM 12PM)
Pay Rate: $12/hour with the opportunity to earn commissions after 60 days of employment
PAID TRAINING
Commission will be based on a base goal (to be determined by department and management)
Commission percentages will range from 10% - 25% (to be determined by department and management)
Class Type: This position will be an evaluation hire (also known as a temp-to-hire opportunity)!
Training will be conducted in-house and will last 2-4 weeks and will be in Cleveland, Tennessee
Once training has successfully been completed, there will be the opportunity to work remotely (work from home)
Primary Responsibilities:
Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility
Document all calls timely and accurately in the patients account in the appropriate database
Establish payment arrangements per company policy
Assist with other billing/collection duties, as needed
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Must be able to attend all training in-house in Cleveland, Tennessee and successfully attend every class during training
Must have Internet capabilities in order to work from home
Must be detail-oriented, empathetic and be able to handle criticism, setbacks, and negative feedback, and active listener
Strong attendance record
Strong communication skills both over email correspondence and over the phone
Proficient with MS Office and be willing to learn internal databases
Must be able to follow directions and follow thorough on tasks given
Must be self-driven and be comfortable with taking initiative on assigned tasks
