Medical Case Manager Virtual Assistant
The United Firm is looking for a Medical Case Manager Virtual Assistant for our Personal Injury department. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating client medical treatment, reviewing and organizing medical records, and ensuring each case is properly documented throughout the lifecycle. The Medical Case Manager plays a key role in supporting attorneys and case managers by maintaining accurate records, identifying gaps in treatment, and helping maximize case outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate and monitor client medical treatment and appointments
Communicate with clients, healthcare providers, and internal legal teams regarding care and case status
Request, review, and organize medical records and billing documentation
Track treatment progress and identify gaps or delays in care
Assist in preparing medical summaries and chronologies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in our case management system
Track liens, balances, and provider information
Assist attorneys and case managers with administrative tasks related to case development
Carry out client interactions with empathy and professionalism
Manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in Personal Injury Case Management or Medical Case Management within a law firm
Strong understanding of medical terminology, treatment processes, and billing
Experience handling medical records, providers, and liens.
Case Management software experience is a major plus
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) with strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
Excellent customer service attitude in fast-paced environments
