Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary package and benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in medical billing.
Responsibilities:
Ā Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness in compliance with insurance regulations and guidelines
Ā Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
Ā Submit and follow-up on claims to ensure timely payment
Ā Resolve billing discrepancies and denials
Ā Maintain patient records and billing information in electronic medical record (EMR) system
Ā Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and issues
Ā Stay up-to-date on changes in medical billing and coding regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
Ā At least 1 year of experience in medical billing and coding
Ā Knowledge of ICD-10 & CPT coding (vascular & general surgery specialty is a plus!)
Ā Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, HMO, PPO, & Worker's Compensation billing and documentation
Ā Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ā Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ā Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ā Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
