Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or via paper claims

Resolve insurance claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies

Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing and coding guidelines and regulations

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable healthcare laws

Assist with account follow-up and collections, when required

High school diploma or GED (Associate degree or certification in medical coding is a plus)

Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
