Medical Billing and Coding Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures.
Responsibilities
? Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures
? Review patient medical records for accuracy and compliance
? Submit claims to insurance companies
? Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing issues
? Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity
? Utilize ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems effectively
? Collaborate with medical staff to clarify information
Qualifications
? Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10, and ICD-9 coding
? Knowledge of medical billing systems and procedures
? Experience in medical collections is a plus
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy
? Excellent organizational and time management skills
? Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is preferred
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $20.95 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
? 8 hour shift
? Day shift
? Monday to Friday
