Responsibilities
Ā Greet and check in patients by verifying coverage and eligibility and completing appropriate paperwork.

Ā Obtain patient history and take vital signs.

Ā Assist with coordination of care and administer medications.

Ā Prepare examination rooms and clean/sterilize instruments per protocol.

Ā Answer telephone calls in compliance with departmental procedures and route calls appropriately.

Ā Schedule appointments and verify membership according to various benefit coverage.

Ā Review preprinted instruction sheets with patients.
,
Ā Attend department staff meetings and in-service programs.
,
Ā Cross-train to new procedures and departments.
,
Ā Assist in orienting new employees and temporary staff to job responsibilities.
Requirements
Ā Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or on-the-job training with the ability to obtain CCMA certification.

Ā Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
,
Ā At least 1 year of front and back office experience.
,
Ā Phlebotomy skills are required.
,
Ā Solid computer skills, including experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Ā Excellent customer service skills are required.
,
Ā Team-oriented with strong time management skills.
,
Ā Responsible and reliable with the ability to work clinic hours and locations.
