MEDICAL ASSISTANT Clinical
We are a busy ENT office located in sunny Scottsdale, AZ looking for a medical assistant for our team! Scottsdale ENT is a center of excellence in treating a wide range of ENt disorders as well as head and neck cancers. We are comprised of two award-winning board-certified ENT physicians, one physician assistant, two audiologists, and one vestibular therapist. The medical assistant plays a pivotal role in coordinating our patients' care. We are looking for someone who is upbeat, self-motivated and keep up with a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
-Chart review and prep: review patient medical history, medications, take patient vital signs and prep patients for any procedures that they may be having
-Assist physicians in procedures
-Educate patients on treatment plans
-Patient callbacks regarding questions and test results
-Help physicians order imaging, testing, referrals
-Obtain prior authorizations
-Maintaining cleanliness of our exam and procedure rooms
-Assist the front office in operations as needed: appointment scheduling, managing multiple phone lines, etc.
-Other administrative/clinical needs: respond to faxes, refill requests, medical record requests, etc.
Qualifications
-Medical Assistant certification not required, but a plus
-Previous medical office experience
-Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR system a plus
-Knowledge on medical terminology
Hourly pay is dependent on experience.
