Duties:
Ā Medical Administrative Lead Representative (Research Team) - This role differs from the regular HEDIS Admin role, as there is limited phone or customer outreach.
Ā This role will require Critical Thinking, experience with performing Research, knowledge of CPT codes and Claims data
Ā The Medical Administrative Lead Representative works under the direction of the **** Team Lead and other ***** personnel.
Ā The position requires strong communication, computer, and clerical skills.
Ā Daily activities include tracking assigned research in electronic systems, utilizing **** claims systems, using the Internet to gather provider/location information, and possible phone/fax outreach if needed.
Ā Other daily activities include the ability to manage large amounts of data electronically, file documents in electronic filing software, faxing, scanning, and abstracting documents from electronic storage devices.
Ā Previous experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) is required.
Skills
The candidate will possess:
Ā Strong computer skills, (e.g., Data entry, Microsoft Word and Outlook, Excel, PDF, WebEx, Outlook)
Ā Must be comfortable using multiple computer systems including working with dual monitors.
Ā Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ā Must be able to perform Internet research and research using Cigna proprietary software systems
Ā Must be detail-oriented
Ā Must demonstrate tenacity to obtain the medical records
Ā Must have knowledge of medical terminology
Ā Must be a quick learner, who can demonstrate the ability to follow multi-step instructions, be a problem solver, and adhere to department protocols
Ā Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ā Knowledge of CPT Codes and Claims data - Required for the Research Team
Ā Must have a secure designated work area and a reliable Internet connection as this position will be 100% work from home.
Education:
Ā High school graduate or GED equivalency.
Ā Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) required.
Ā Knowledge of CPT Codes and Claims data - Required for the Research Team
Ā Experience as a medical assistant or clinical administrative assistant is preferred.
Ā Coding, claims, and medical record review experience desired but not necessary.
