Job Description:
• A Data Analyst in a environment is responsible for analyzing large datasets—such as claims, encounters, eligibility, and provider data to support program operations, improve data quality, and deliver clear insights to business and technical teams.
• This role performs detailed data validation, identifies trends and gaps, supports regulatory and compliance reporting, and builds dashboards and reports that help leadership make informed decisions.
• The analyst works closely with the teams, gathers and documents business requirements, translates them into data specifications, and collaborates with engineering and vendor partners to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.
• Strong SQL skills, experience with healthcare or Medicaid data, and the ability to communicate complex findings in simple terms are essential for success in this fast‑moving, high‑visibility environment.

Requirements:
• 3–7 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills (complex joins, data validation, data profiling).
• Experience working with healthcare datasets such as claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, or other Medicaid/Medi‑Cal data.
• Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and identify trends, gaps, or data quality issues.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, or visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to document business requirements and translate them into data or reporting specifications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in multi‑team environments with vendors, IT, and business groups.
