We are seeking a Media Relations & PR Associate with a proven track record of journalist engagement to help our clients tell their stories to the world’s most influential outlets. Key Responsibilities • Media Strategy: Develop and execute tailored outreach strategies for U.S. and international media markets. • Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with editors, reporters, and industry influencers. • Proactive Pitching: Identify unique story angles and secure high-impact placements for our clients. • Content Creation: Draft high-quality press releases, media pitches, bylined articles, and thought leadership pieces. • Insights & Reporting: Monitor industry trends and competitor movement while tracking outreach performance through detailed analytics. • Event Coordination: Manage media briefings, press opportunities, and journalist interviews. Qualifications • Experience: 2–3 years in a PR agency, media relations role, or professional journalism. • Proven Track Record: You must be able to demonstrate previous success in securing media coverage. • Writing Excellence: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt to different brand voices. • Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the U.S. tech and startup media landscape. • Tool Proficiency: Experience with industry-standard databases such as Muck Rack or Cision. • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex, cross-border communications. Preferred Skills • Prior experience working within the Venture Capital or Innovation sectors. • Agency-side experience is highly preferred. • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English and Chinese is a significant advantage for our cross-border operations.
