Media Planner
Starcom is a global communications planning and media leader with a history of over 80 years. The Media Planner will develop and execute strategic media plans across various channels, analyze media alternatives, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners for campaign execution and performance monitoring. Responsibilities Develop & Execute Media Plans – Create strategic, awareness-driven media plans across digital, social, programmatic, TV, and OOH channels to maximize brand impact Media Analysis & Recommendations – Evaluate media alternatives, leverage data-driven insights, and provide strategic recommendations for optimal channel allocation Campaign Execution & Performance Monitoring – Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution, track campaign performance, and optimize based on insights Post-Campaign Reporting & Financial Tracking – Analyze campaign results, generate performance reports, and ensure accurate financial tracking and budget management Client & Stakeholder Communication – Present media strategies, insights, and recommendations directly to clients while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams Utilization of Media Tools & Research – Leverage industry tools (e.g., Prisma, Vividata, GWI, Google Insight Finder) to inform strategic planning and decision-making Strategic & Proactive Thinking – Stay ahead of industry trends, develop POVs, and continuously refine media strategies to drive results Skills 1-2 years of experience in media planning Strong understanding of media strategy and tactics development, channel allocation and optimization across multiple channels Experience in post-campaign reporting and financial tracking Ability to develop POVs and strategic media recommendations based on research and insights Strategic Thinking – Ability to build and refine media plans that align with client goals Analytical Mindset – Experience in campaign monitoring, reporting, and performance optimization Collaboration & Communication – Work effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors & clients Proactiveness & Attention to Detail – Ability to handle high-volume workloads and meet deadlines Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with media research tools and reporting systems (Prisma, Vividata, GWI, Google Insight Finder, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with media planning tools; Prisma, Vividata, GWI, Google Insight Finder, Reach Planner (desired) Benefits Work Your World program enabling you to experience working from anywhere in Canada or overseas for up to 6 weeks a year Extended long weekends throughout the year with an additional day off each long weekend Wellness & Tech benefits to support what’s most important to you Birthday leave Extensive Learning & Development opportunities, including more than 15,000 learning programs via our online learning platform as well as a Professional Development Allowance Local and Global Mobility within the Publicis Groupe network Company Overview With a history that dates back over 80 years, Starcom is a global communications planning and media leader.
