Media Buyer for CPG Brand (Food / Retail + eCommerce)
Overview
We’re looking for a performance-driven media buyer to help scale a fast-growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand in the food space.
Lakewatcher Farms is a Kentucky-based producer of pasture-raised, non-GMO chicken, sold through:
Retail partner locations (via in-store freezers)
Direct-to-consumer channels (shipping + local delivery)
We are not a generic food brand. Our positioning is built around:
Animal welfare (daily pasture rotation)
Premium quality (air-chilled processing)
Strong brand narrative and visual identity
We already have:
Content production handled internally (photo/video assets)
Organic presence (including a large Instagram audience)
Retail expansion underway
What we do not have is a strong paid acquisition engine.
That’s where you come in.
What We Need:
We need someone who can own paid media performance, not just “run ads.”
Your responsibilities:
Build and manage campaigns on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) primarily
Develop and test ad angles, hooks, and offers
Turn raw content into high-performing ad creatives
Optimize for:
Retail traffic (geo-targeted ads near store locations)
Direct-to-consumer purchases (shipping + local delivery)
Set up and manage:
Campaign structure
Retargeting funnels
Budget allocation and scaling strategy
Provide clear reporting tied to ROI, not vanity metrics
What Success Looks Like
Consistent, measurable increase in:
Retail store traffic and sales velocity
Online orders (ROAS-positive)
Clear understanding of:
What creative works and why
Which audiences convert
Ability to scale spend confidently
Who You Are
Proven experience in paid media buying (Meta required)
Experience with CPG, food brands, or eCommerce strongly preferred
Understands offer creation, not just targeting
Comfortable working with founder-led brands
Data-driven, but also creative
Bonus if you:
Have run local/geo-targeted campaigns
Have experience driving in-store retail demand
Understand subscription or repeat purchase models
Important Notes
We already have someone handling content posting and basic social media management
This role is focused on paid growth and performance
We prefer US-based talent, but will consider strong candidates elsewhere
This will start part-time but can scale quickly if results are there
