Vantage Elevation, LLC is North Americas leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions. Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
? Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
? 4-6 years experience in similar position
? Knowledge/experience in design review tasks including: Tolerance stack ups, DFMA, etc.
? Familiarity with Trouble shooting and Root cause analysis.
? Knowledge of reading and interpretation of various Codes a plus.
? Basic knowledge of electrical design concepts a plus
? Proficient ability with 3D modeling software (Inventor a plus), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office required
? Knowledge of Vault (document management) and Visual (ERP) a plus
? Familiarity with basic and more advanced manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, forging, injection molding and die casting.
? Can produce 3D models and assemblies and properly dimensioned and tolerant drawings that are moderately to highly complex.
? Ability to exercise creativity and innovation
? Keen attention to details
? Good interpersonal skills
? Analytical, math, and problem-solving skills highly preferred
? Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
? Support product lines: Design changes, reverse engineering, component validations, document releases, and obsolescence.
? Work with Quality, purchasing and manufacturing to ensure continued production in cases of Non-Conformity, supplier shortages and other issues.
? Review and check updated drawings for print accuracy and project goals.
? Plan and run larger design change projects.
? Perform design, analysis and experiment to improve/maintain existing products ranging from complex to relatively simple.
? Expected to contribute suggestions for product improvement in cost and efficiency
? Organize and lead cross-functional meetings as part of sustainment activities.
? Work closely with production to resolve manufacturing issues and discrepancies.
