Mechanical Engineer II

Remote Full-time
About the position

The Mechanical Engineer II position is a critical role that involves directing and coordinating various engineering functions related to mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines, and systems. This position is responsible for ensuring that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved throughout the manufacturing process. The engineer will oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of essential equipment, including centralized heating, gas, water, and steam systems. Additionally, the role requires evaluating mechanical products to assess their cost-effectiveness and efficiency, as well as recommending design modifications to eliminate malfunctions based on field evaluations. In this role, the engineer will apply engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. A significant part of the job involves reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. The engineer will collaborate with other engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide necessary technical information. Researching and analyzing customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data is also a key responsibility, as it helps evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Moreover, the Mechanical Engineer II will specify system components or direct modifications of products to ensure they conform to engineering design and performance specifications. Investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and making recommendations to the maintenance crew is also part of the job.
