This role requires end-to-end involvementâfrom concept development to final productionâcreating comprehensive manufacturing documentation and both 3D and 2D designs to support engineering and product teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform drafting and design tasks using SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and other relevant design toolsCreate enclosures and fabrication layouts for battery application systemsDesign control boxes, mechanical enclosures, connectors, and harnessesCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical hardware, hydronic piping, power wiringPrepare technical documentation for vendor communication and quotation processesEnsure that all mechanical designs meet applicable TUV/CE/UL codes and standardRequirementsTechnical SkillsMould Design (Aluminum, Plastic Injection, Blow, Die Cast)Busbars design, electrical component assembly, electrical wiringComplete Mould Manufacturing DocumentationPreparing product specification for production and assembly3D CAD Modelling (SolidWorks, NX, Fusion 360)2D Drafting & 3D-to-2D Conversion (STEP/DWG/DXF)Product Design & Concept DevelopmentSheet Metal & Weldment DesignRendering, Exploded Views & Assembly GuidesDFM (Design for Manufacturing) & Tolerance OptimizationCompetenciesExperience in battery model/pack mechanical design & engineering throughout production and distribution phases (BESS, String controller box)Solid understanding of thermal reaction and material selectionExpertise in plastic molding and metal fabricationFamiliarity with battery distribution systemsElectronic Control box design coordination with engineering teamworkRequired Skills and ToolsBachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Masterâs degree preferred)8â15 years of relevant experienceStrong communication skills in English (written and verbal)Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative teamsPreferred ExperienceBackground in the energy storage or battery technology sectorsProficiency with MS Office tools and Asana is a plusCertifications are a plus#LI-NC1
