Math Writer
About the position
The Good and the Beautiful is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to create upper-level math curriculum. This role involves writing math curriculum materials such as lessons, solutions, and scripts, as assigned by the Sr. Math Director. The Math Writer will collaborate with the Math Director and Math Team on projects, review content for accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness, and may be responsible for laying out lessons and solutions in InDesign. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all job functions is a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Write curriculum and solutions manuals.
• Create math equations and graphing files using programs such as MathType and Graph Free as needed.
• Review curriculum and scripts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, math education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching high school level math (specifically Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2), including creation of lessons and lesson plans.
Nice-to-haves
• Adobe InDesign experience.
