Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Math Tutor to join our team at Mathnasium in College Station, TX. As a Math Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by helping them build number sense, boost confidence, and gain a deep understanding of math. Our ideal candidate is a math expert who is enthusiastic about teaching and working with students of all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Create a positive, engaging, and fun learning environment for students
Learn and implement the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods
Participate in ongoing training to continually improve your skills
Tutor students in math at all grade levels (1-12)
Why Join Our Team?
Competitive salary: $10.00/hr during training (~4 weeks), with raises to $11.00/hr and $11.50/hr with additional training
Consistent and flexible schedule: 8-12 hours/week on average
No lesson planning or homework assignment required
Extensive training in the Mathnasium Method to deepen your understanding of math
Opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment
Requirements:
At least 16 years old
Math proficiency through Algebra 2 required, Pre-Calculus/Calculus preferred
Experience tutoring or working with children in grades 1-12 preferred
Commitment to work with us for at least 9 months
