Marketing and Sales Coordinator

Hippo Harvest is a controlled environment agriculture startup that leverages plant science, machine learning, and robotics to sustainably grow vegetables. The Marketing & Sales Coordinator will plan and execute marketing programs, manage sales order processing, and collaborate across various functions to enhance the company's presence and efficiency. Responsibilities Plan and execute shopper marketing programs including in-store demos, coupons, and promotional campaigns Help develop and test emerging marketing channels—from retail activations to social media experiments Create and maintain marketing materials, sales assets, and product information libraries Own the daily sales order processing workflow with precision and identify opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks to improve efficiency Be a reliable, responsive point of contact for customers, building trust through clear communication and follow-through Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery and proactive customer updates Partner with Finance and Accounting as required to reconcile issues related to customer or vendor invoicing Track campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights Achieve level of competence in using internal and external systems Perform business in a professional, ethical, and moral manner Perform additional duties as necessary Skills A builder's mindset - You're energized by the idea of contributing to a mission-driven food startup that's tackling real environmental challenges Obsessive attention to detail - You take pride in getting the fundamentals right, whether that's a well-coordinated event or accurate order entry Self-direction and accountability - You thrive in an 80% remote environment where you're trusted to manage priorities and deliver results Strong communication skills - You can explain complex information clearly, build rapport across teams, and represent Hippo professionally with customers and partners Tech-savviness - You're comfortable learning new systems quickly and excited about finding smarter ways to work Collaborative spirit - You enjoy working across functions, asking questions, and contributing to collective problem-solving Experience in food & beverage, CPG, retail produce, or related fields is a plus but not required Benefits Includes a stock option package.
