Managing Director of Institutional Sales - Asset Management

We are seeking to add a Managing Director, Institutional Sales to our U.S. team. This role is crucial for expanding our institutional business, focusing on acquiring new clients across various market channels, including... public funds, corporate entities, endowments and foundations (E&F), Taft-Hartley plans, and insurance companies. In this role, you will represent a diverse range of investment management strategies across equities, fixed income, and alternatives, providing exciting opportunities to collaborate with various investment affiliates.

Responsibilities
• Lead direct sales and new business development within the institutional market, focusing on expanding relationships with key decision-makers.
• Build and execute a strategic sales plan targeting new clients and asset growth in the domestic institutional space, including approaches based on client types, geography, and existing consultant relationships.
• Manage the full sales process from start to finish, including presenting to new prospects, onboarding accounts, and transitioning clients to the service team.
• Partner closely with portfolio managers and subject matter experts to provide investors with thought leadership and education on investment strategies.
• Record and update sales calls, market data, and progress in the CRM system, ensuring strong communication within the team.
• Provide valuable feedback from clients to marketing and product development teams, while actively contributing to new product ideas.
• Collaborate with marketing teams and participate in conferences or events to build brand awareness and network with potential clients.
• Cultivate deep knowledge of our products and develop strong relationships with key portfolio managers.
• Travel extensively to meet potential clients and attend key industry events.

Requirements
• Experience: 10+ years of sales experience in institutional asset management or a related field.
• Education: A BA/BS degree in business or finance (or equivalent experience).
• Licensing: A FINRA Series 7 license is required.
• Expertise: Proven success in the institutional sales channel with robust relationships across various market channels. In-depth knowledge of equities, fixed income, and alternatives is essential.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building and influencing key stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Travel: Must be willing to travel extensively for client meetings.

Compensation

The base salary for this role is between (200,000 to )250,000, depending on your experience, education, skills, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in an incentive plan.
