About the position
The Tele Account Development Manager at American Express is a telephone-based role focused on managing and developing high-potential clients. This position is responsible for the expansion and retention of a defined portfolio of high-value existing customers, ensuring compliance with company standards while delivering exceptional customer service and driving growth.
Responsibilities
Ā Effectively manage a dedicated portfolio of high-value existing Business and Corporate customers within territory.

Ā Proactively reach out to customers to uncover opportunities and manage customer spend in alignment with growth or retention conversations.

Ā Use consultative skills to maintain and develop existing customer relationships and grow charge volume.

Ā Maintain a high level of knowledge about American Express products, processes, and key internal partners.

Ā Partner closely with the Field Dedicated Portfolio Account Development team for face-to-face customer visits when necessary.

Ā Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree required.

Ā 3-5 years of excellent sales experience.

Ā Experience in relationship management and consultative selling.

Ā Strong customer relationship building skills.

Ā Ability to identify client needs and configure solutions that deliver value.

Ā Experience in a highly-regulated industry.
