This role is crucial in ensuring our content is accurately categorized and easily discoverable by our subscribers. As the Manager of Taxonomy, you will play a critical role in organizing and maintaining our... vast library of titles, helping our viewers find their next favorite show or movie. Develop and maintain a comprehensive taxonomy system for all Netflix content, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, data analysts, and user experience specialists, to establish and implement taxonomy guidelines and standards.
Continuously monitor and update existing taxonomy categories to reflect changes in the industry, trends, and user behavior.
Ensure that all new and existing content is accurately tagged and categorized according to the established taxonomy standards.
Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any tagging or categorization errors, and implement corrective measures.
Train and guide team members and content creators on taxonomy best practices and standards.
Develop and maintain documentation of the taxonomy system, including guidelines, standards, and processes.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in taxonomy and information organization to continuously improve Netflix's taxonomy system.
Collaborate with the data team to analyze user behavior and search patterns to improve content discoverability.
Proactively identify and address any taxonomy-related issues or challenges to ensure a seamless user experience.
