Manager, Tax Hedge Funds

Develop and implement tax compliance strategies for hedge fund clients in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Oversee and manage tax filings, including federal, state, and international tax returns.Conduct thorough reviews of hedge fund structures to identify potential tax risks and opportunities. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance. Provide expert advice and guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for hedge fund clients. Monitor and manage tax audits for hedge fund clients, including responding to inquiries from tax authorities.Develop and maintain strong relationships with hedge fund clients, providing exceptional customer service and proactively addressing any tax-related concerns. Mentor and train junior tax staff, providing guidance on complex tax matters and promoting a culture of continuous learning and development. Utilize tax software and technology to streamline and improve tax processes and procedures. Prepare and present reports and presentations on tax-related matters to senior management and clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements for tax compliance and reporting.Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as external regulatory requirements. Participate in business development activities, including client pitches and presentations, to promote SS&C Technologies' tax services. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive tax information. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other teams within SS&C Technologies. Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks to effectively manage workload and meet client expectations.Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance.
