Manager, Strategic Accounts
The National Accounts Manager is responsible for identifying, sourcing, contacting and managing regional and national commercial partnerships. As the National Accounts Manager, you will establish and maintain relationships with decision makers and purchase influencers on the value of using Empire Today’s products/services. This position reports directly to the Director of National Accounts. Responsibilities Identify National Account opportunities through research and analysis. Takes proactive action to drive increased sales performance in order to achieve commercial flooring sales objectives. Contacts and cultivates relationships with regional/national representatives in various industries to drive flooring sales. Attends networking events to cultivate and develop relationships. Works with potential customers to layout, design, & coordinate flooring selections. Negotiate terms and conditions of national contracts/projects. Establish and maintain ongoing effective communications with high value prospects as well as building lasting direct client relationships. Devise presentations for and hold quarterly meetings with national accounts. Train and motivate field managers and sales reps on the expectations of service levels. Demonstrate leadership traits consistent with the Empire Way. Oversee the general management of commercial business within assigned area. All other duties assigned or as required. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience with developing and managing new accounts within the flooring, furniture, paint or construction industry. Minimum of 5 years of partnering with operational side of business to achieve desired results. Solid aptitude of leadership, demonstrating ability to lead a team of non-direct reports. Excellent problem-solving skills demonstrated through a sense of urgency and solid judgment and reasoning ability. Strong ability to effectively communicate at all levels in written, verbal and presentation formats. Proficient computer skills with fluency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Excellent oral and written skills and ability to communicate effectively via email. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Availability to travel on a regular basis.
