We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager - Quality Assurance to lead our quality assurance activities in our Marietta plant. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Job Summary
The Manager - Quality Assurance is responsible for managing and directing the quality assurance activities for the plant, including syrup preparation and distribution, microbiology, sanitation, finished product analysis, package integrity testing, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and process control.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with COMPANY policies and applicable laws
Interview, hire, and train associates
Plan, assign, and direct work
Appraise performance
Address complaints and resolve problems
Build positive associate morale
Ensure local, state, federal, and COMPANY quality standards are met for products produced by the facility
Oversee and direct the efforts of the plant HACCP plan, including GMP development, auditing, and corrective action plan development
Investigate, report, and formulate corrective action plans on plant-specific consumer complaints, food safety complaints, and complaint trends
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Minimum age 18 years old
Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with COMPANY fleet policy
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with COMPANY safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within COMPANY guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of COMPANY assets
Ability to utilize all COMPANY-provided resources and technology
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to four (2-4) years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Knowledge of current HACCP/Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) regulations
Working knowledge of lab equipment
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs.
Frequent exposure to water
