Manager, Product Marketing
The Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for leading the Consumer Product Marketing team and driving the strategic direction, execution, and performance of product marketing initiatives. This role oversees a team of Product Marketing Managers and is accountable for translating product and corporate strategy into compelling market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution.The Manager, Product Marketing will establish objectives, prioritize initiatives, and ensure consistent execution across the product portfolio while partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, and other cross-functional stakeholders. This role reports to the VP of Product Marketing and has direct people management responsibility.Expected Duties:Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and career development supportSet and communicate product marketing strategy and priorities aligned to company objectives and product roadmapsOversee messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies across assigned consumer product linesEnsure high-quality execution of product launches, sales enablement materials, customer-facing messaging, and marketing collateralPartner closely with Product Management to align on market insights, product strategy, roadmaps, pricing, and packagingDrive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Demand Generation, Brand, and Customer-facing teams to ensure consistent and effective executionReview, prioritize, and allocate team workload to ensure focus on initiatives with the greatest business impactProvide guidance and escalation support on complex or high-impact product marketing initiativesUse market research, customer insights, and performance data to inform strategy and continuous improvementRepresent Product Marketing in cross-functional planning, reviews, and leadership discussionsQualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe role requires the establishment of annual objectives and the execution of tactics to support MeridianLink’s business goals through effective product marketing leadership.Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop product marketing professionalsStrong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and execution plansDeep understanding of product marketing fundamentals, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and sales enablementAbility to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment without direct authorityAbility to analyze market, customer, and performance data to inform decisions and resolve complex problemsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiencesAbility to manage competing priorities and guide teams through ambiguityBachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated people leadership experience
