Role:
The Manager, Infor ERP Technical Consulting Services is responsible for leading a team that provides technical expertise, designs solutions, and supports Infor ERP implementations for customers. This is a hands on role that will be customer facing with a utilization target of a minimum 50%.
Location: US based role, remote unless traveling to customer sites
Key duties:
Leading a team of consultants, overseeing technical projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, and driving business opportunities through client engagement and presentations. This position requires extensive Infor ERP experience, strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to connect technical solutions with business value.
Core responsibilities
• Team leadership: Mentor a team of technical consultants, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.
• Technical oversight: Manage the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions, ensuring compliance with Infor's methodology and development standards.
• Technical consulting: Delivering LN technical/development implementation/mapping to customers - 50% utilization target
• Customer and sales engagement: Provide expert technical guidance to clients, conduct product demonstrations, and help translate business needs into technical strategies.
• Strategic planning: Identify and drive new business opportunities and assist in defining project scopes and timelines.
• Knowledge management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Infor products, industry trends, and best practices, and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
Required skills and qualifications
• Leadership experience: Proven management experience, including leading solution consulting or technical teams.
• Infor expertise: Deep knowledge of Infor LN, CE ERP products and technologies and associated programming languages like COBOL, RPG, or SQL.
• Technical proficiency: Understanding of ERP architecture, SaaS models, and common programming solutions like Infor IPA or ION.
• Business acumen: Ability to understand client business objectives and demonstrate the business value of technical solutions, often through presentations to C-level executives.
• Project management: Experience in a consulting or customer-facing environment, with skills in project planning and proposal development.
• Soft skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring abilities.
• Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
