In this role, you'll take the reins of ensuring data continuity through our cutting-edge data pipelines and lead the charge in designing and maintaining our marketing API. Responsibilities • Spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless data continuity for Universal Ads' advertising solutions. • Drive the development and evolution of our marketing API, creating a scalable and reliable backbone for internal and external integrations. • Lay the groundwork for a world-class engineering team by defining its structure, culture, and hiring strategy—building it from a small, agile crew into a force of innovation. • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to turn business needs into technical solutions that power Universal Ads' ambitious goals. • Champion engineering best practices, from code quality and testing to deployment, setting a high bar for excellence as the team grows. • Develop monitoring and alerting systems to proactively tackle pipeline or API issues, ensuring reliability at every step. • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of data systems and APIs, keeping us ahead of industry standards and compliance demands. • Lead incident response and post-mortems, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and improvement. • Communicate with clarity and confidence to technical teams and leadership alike, aligning everyone around a shared vision. • Engage in Agile ceremonies, balancing immediate priorities with the long-term strategy of scaling your team and systems.
