Northrop Grumman is looking for a highly organized, people-focused engineering leader to lead our Data Engineering team within the Insights & Intel ligence (i2) organization. Remote location options are considered for the right candidate. Insights & Intelligence (i2) is reimagining decision making at Northrop Grumman. As part of our Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO), i2 works with all enterprise domains and businesses to drive our data, analytics & AI transformation. As a leader, you will manage a team of data and software engineers working across critical domains of the business. In this role, you will directly influence how we build our Databricks enterprise lakehouse and our culture of engineering excellence that enables the team to develop reliable data systems. You will have the opportunity to grow as an engineering leader, influencing the technical architecture and code standards on the team along with the technical roadmap and its execution. Key responsibilities: Define and maintain a data engineering roadmap; align technical priorities with business objectives and the Northrop Grumman data strategy . Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative team; mentoring engineers on design patterns, code quality, data architecture, and career development. Champion clean, modular architecture and enforce engineering best practices. Drive end-to-end delivery of data pipelines in Databricks, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance while meeting roadmap milestones. Lead the migration to our Databricks enterprise lakehouse . Collaborate with leaders and teams across various functions, including business management, business development, facilities, human resources, supply chain, and manufacturing. Basic Qualifications: Must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field. Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in software or data engineering with a relevant Bachelors Degree OR 6 years of experience in software or data engineering with a relevant Masters Degree. Must have a minimum of 2 year s of experience in people management leading engineering teams . Must have proficiency with Databricks (or comparable modern data lakehouse platforms), cloud services (AWS), and data pipelines. Must have demonstrated skill in managing technical teams, process excellence, and meeting roadmap deliverables. Must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence both technical and executive audiences. Preferred Qualifications : Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or related field. Experience integrating data from enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, and Salesforce. Deep domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, or Manufacturing Primary Level Salary Range: $133,200.00 - $219,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
