Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases. This role bridges traditional release management practices with Agile methodologies, ensuring high-quality, timely, and well-governed deployments across multiple teams and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile concepts combined with experience managing release cycles in more structured or waterfall-driven environments. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end release cycles across multiple Agile and non-Agile teams Develop and maintain release schedules, roadmaps, and deployment timelines Facilitate release planning sessions, including sprint alignment and cross-team dependency tracking Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure release readiness Manage risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact release scope, timeline, or quality Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and change management processes Coordinate code merges, builds, and deployments across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production) Oversee release documentation, including release notes, runbooks, and rollback procedures Drive continuous improvement of release processes, tools, and automation Monitor post-release performance and lead retrospectives to improve future releases Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of experience in release management, program management, or delivery management Hands-on experience in hybrid Agile environments (Agile + Waterfall) Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC methodologies Experience with release orchestration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, ServiceNow) Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team releases with competing priorities Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in enterprise data warehouse or large-scale enterprise systems Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with automated deployment tools and version control systems (Git) Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe) or ITIL Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $131,940 - $171,350.
