Make a Difference: O&M Specialist for Blind Students Part-Time, Flexible - East Providence, RI

Our partner school in East Providence, RI is looking for a dedicated and certified Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist to provide services to K–12 students who are blind or visually impaired. This is a part-time, flexible position ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining schedule flexibility.

Position Details:
• August 2025 - June 2026
• Part-Time: 10 Hours/Month
• Pay Rate: $30 - $40 per hour, depending on previous experience
• Caseload: K - 12th grade students

Responsibilities:
• Provide orientation and mobility instruction to blind/visually impaired students, ages ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Develop and implement individualized instructional programs tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with educational teams, families, and other service providers to support student progress.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and reporting for student progress and services rendered.

Qualifications:
• Active Orientation and Mobility Certification in Rhode Island (required)
• Experience working with children and youth who are blind or visually impaired (preferred)
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
