Position Summary
The Bandag plant in Abilene has been in operation for over 50 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers. Bandag is a critical piece of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of premium retread tires. Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Abilene, Texas. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will focus on providing onsite mechanical support, guidance and assistance during all plant operations.

Schedule: Full Time, All Shifts are 4 days on and 3 days off consecutive. Night Shift positions.

Pay:
• Starting rate is $32.89 per hour
• Opportunities to earn up to $39.25 per hour

Responsibilities
• A focus on Safety First, Always!
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Responsible for processing work orders, data collection and statistical analysis
• Perform mechanical or technical training as needed to areas withing the plant that are identified as developmental opportunities
• Responsible for all aspects of preventative maintenance, including diagnostics, reporting and repairs
• Work alignment with and support Bandag Mission, Core Values, Quality Statements and Plant Mission Statement

Physical Requirements:
• Lifting requirements may be up to 130 lbs. on an occasional basis. Lifting requirements range from a height of 3-5 feet.
• Medium physical effort is required to maneuver through out departments that include climbing stairs; in addition, a considerable amount of standing is necessary

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Preferred 2 years of employment stability
• Preferred 1 -2-year vocational training/associate degree

Must possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent, (completed and verified prior to start).
