Position Purpose Must be able to work any shift: Monday to Friday. Shifts available are second shift and third shift. β€’ First - 7am-3:30pm β€’ Second - 3pm-11:30 pm β€’ Third - 11pm-7:30am. The incumbent will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks while ensuring the safety of our people, workplace and environment and meeting all company, legal and other requirements. He/she will trouble shoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, conduct equipment changeovers, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Selected candidates will also be involved with equipment installations and facility maintenance. The multi-craft mechanic/technician will implement continuous improvement projects and conduct structured break down analysis on failed components Summary Provide support to the manufacturing processes by repairing industrial equipment including electrical & electronic components, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, power transmission and conveyors, compressors, chillers and boilers. Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, processing, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Responsibilities Execute Planned Maintenance Activities β€’ Daily, weekly and shutdown activities executed according to schedule. β€’ Plant/ process isolated as per relevant procedures. β€’ Maintenance and repairs carried out as per works order, meeting all the quality requirements. β€’ Plant/ equipment/ process commissioned after job and handed over to customer for approval β€’ Information collated, documented and feedback provided to relevant customers. Troubleshoot and Breakdown Support β€’ Failures/ problems/ deviations investigated, and root causes identified, verified and corrective action taken according to procedures. β€’ Create work orders and obtain spares in CMMS for repairs and breakdowns. β€’ Breakdowns repaired with the minimum production downtime. β€’ Reports on breakdowns & repairs carried out completed as per root cause analysis procedure. β€’ Plant/ equipment/ process commissioned after job and handed over to customer for approval β€’ Breakdown analysis Information/ feedback collated and documented preventative corrective actions submitted for implementation Additional Responsibilities Maintained Health & Safety Standards β€’ Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements. β€’ All housekeeping standards are adhered to as per 5S principles β€’ Implement 5S in own Workstation β€’ Working at Heights and in confined spaces Equipment Change Overs β€’ Perform equipment changeovers as per production schedule β€’ Initiate and participate in change over time reduction improvement projects. β€’ Manage and record lists of mechanical and electrical settings for each product type β€’ Improve ramp-up times by reduction of set-up and adjustments. Responsibilities Continued Improve Equipment and Processes in the Production Department β€’ Diagnose unresolved events leading to ineffective operations and determine the root cause β€’ Perform Machine Capability studies and participate in equipment improvement teams β€’ Carry out new project/equipment/improvement installations within expected time frames when assigned Other Duties β€’ Be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other department/areas if required, to meet business demands. β€’ Respond to changes in the Supply Chain Function as dictated by the industry and Company. β€’ Bending, kneeling, lifting of 50+ pounds and climbing Qualifications Education: Diploma Mechanical/Electrical/HVAC/Mechatronic Engineering Experience: β€’ More than 3 years as a multiskilled mechanic/technician in a high-speed beverage manufacturing facility: β€’ Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach.
