Job Summary The Machine Operator Trainee will be responsible for machine operations, production, and general maintenance in our web press operations. As a Machine Operator Trainee, you will work closely with our production team to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes. This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate web press equipment, including hanging plates, adjusting feeder/delivery units, filling ink wells, and water tanks Monitor and adjust ink fountains for proper ink distribution Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, ink/water problems, and design layout configurations Work with production team to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes Interpret and follow special instructions and job specifications Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field or previous experience in a production environment preferred No previous experience required; mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential Ability to lift 25-50 lbs throughout a shift (10-12 hours) Requires walking, lifting boxes, bending, pushing rolls, and moving pallets Must be able to work with detail and interpret special instructions Ability to perform in a fast-paced digital production environment with tight deadlines Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a production environment, particularly in web press operations Mechanical aptitude and experience with troubleshooting mechanical equipment Experience with design layout configurations and ink/water systems Strong communication and teamwork skills Skills and Competencies Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to work with precision Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Machine Operator Trainee with our company, you'll have access to comprehensive training and development programs designed to help you grow and succeed in your career.
