STARTING PAY is $23.33-$23.66 per hour, work Monday - Friday, no weekends!
Ā 2nd shift is 2:45PM - 10:45PM (+$1.10 shift differential)
Overview:
The Machine Operator will work in a high performance work organization on a cross functional team to develop multiple skills in several different areas of the operation. Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.
Duties:
Ā Read, understand and follow production schedules
Ā Process transactions
Ā Set up and adjust equipment;
Ā Gather materials as needed
Ā Perform quality checks
Ā Operate motorized equipment (ie forklift, KVAL lifts, etc) as needed
Ā Perform minor preventative maintenance and operator care as required
Ā Assist Management, Maintenance and Quality personnel when troubleshooting equipment, process or material issues
Ā Communicate effectively for flow of product through the mill
Ā Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate
Ā Perform housekeeping duties
Ā Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Ā Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Ā Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures
Skills:
Ā Work on a computer
Ā Use a Tape Measure, Caliper
Ā Use Hand and power tools
Ā Use Table Saw, Grinders
Ā Drive Fork Truck, use push carts
Ā Basic reading and writing skills
Ā Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals
Ā Chemicals/adhesives
Physical Requirements:
Ā Lift 1-30# frequently (up to 50% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Lift 30-60# regularly (up to 30% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Lift 60+# occasionally (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Push/Pull 100# with assistance seldom (up to 13% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Kneel occasionally (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Squat occasionally (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Stoop frequently (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Work with extended arms seldom (up to 13% in an 8 hour day)
Ā Stand in one spot for long periods
Education:
Ā High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Ā Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
