Position SummaryThe Tosei machine operator entails operating high speed sophisticated machines by managing settings and conducting tests to ensure a successful operation in the production process.Position Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSets up, operates and tends the PT machineInspect equipment in use through troubleshooting, checking for any problems in them and fixing them immediately if any, in order to prevent breakdown in the course of workFeed dough into the PT machineShovel filling into the PT machineMonitor the PT process; conduct process checks to verify the filling, dough consistency & quality to specMonitors PT closely to detect any signs of malfunctioning that may affect the quality of work and tackles it immediately to avoid it getting worseRunning product to specifications, ie: overlaps, etc.Assist with training backup personnelFollows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as requiredFollow all safety rules and regulations per established company policiesOperate a forklift/palletjack to pull and move raw materials Bring any quality problems to the attention of the Lead/Manager/SupervisorBring any machinery problems to the attention of the Maintenance Team/LeadPerform all other duties as assignedTemperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP's, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, Quality & USDA requirements.Position QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, Certification, License or MembershipPrefer High School Diploma or GEDBe able to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracyMath SkillsReliableSelf-drivenMinimal SupervisionForklift/Palletjack CertificationEmployee Safety ResponsibilitiesReport all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts & horseplay Use proper lifting techniques Use mechanical assistance (handjacks, forklifts)Use personal assistance (buddy)Use handrailsUse and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
