Machine Operator
Priority Personnel is seeking a Night Extruder Operator for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX. Position is Direct Hire with the company!
Pay rate: $22.00/hr plus $2.00/hour shift premium
Work Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts, 6:00pm-6:00am
Job Duties:
ā¢ Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production order
ā¢ Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed
ā¢ Feed raw material or parts to manual or semi-automated machine
ā¢ Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
ā¢ Test operation of machines periodically
ā¢ Fix and/or report issues that might occur during the shift
ā¢ Verify output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
ā¢ Keep records of approved and defective units and/or final products
ā¢ Maintain daily logs/records
ā¢ Follow all safety rules, assure others follow safety rules and correct or report any safety issues immediately
Requirements:
ā¢ Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
ā¢ Understanding of production procedures, manufacturing specifications, etc.
ā¢ Basic computer skills for e-mail, record keeping and to access job related work instructions
ā¢ Ability to read and write English.
ā¢ High school diploma or equivalent
