Machine Learning Engineer
Your mission
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ML Engineer to join our team.Floy is supporting radiologists by boosting their diagnostics efforts with unconventional AI products focused on overlooked diseases. You will be part of a fast-paced scientific team tasked to develop innovative algorithms to solve unexplored radiological diagnostics problems. This means that you are experienced with the latest ML/DL techniques in medical image processing (and computer vision), can think out-of-the-box, have the ability to understand the biology of various pathologies, the physics of different signal-acquisitions (CT, MRI, etc.), and to plan and execute R&D tasks with your team independently and passionately.The goal is to push beyond the boundaries of the typically researched medical problems and build state-of-the-art models that provide a tangible benefit to real-world patients. Together with your team, you contribute to the model development from inception to clinical release. Where applicable, patents and publications in leading conferences/journals are encouraged.
Your responsibilities
Develop innovative and cutting-edge ML products for radiological image diagnosticsGenerate intellectual property for Floy by pushing its abilities beyond the published SOTA and other competing companiesProcess large medical image datasets for various modalities (CT, MRI, etc.) in different formats (DICOM, NIFTI, etc.)Read, understand, and stay abreast with the published literature on various medical image processing & computer vision topicsUnderstand biology and physics to comprehend organs, their pathologies, and the measuring abilities of various imaging modalities (CT, MRI, etc.)
What are we looking for?
Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related fieldPrevious position, thesis, or coursework in medical image processing (or computer vision) with DLStrong understanding of machine learning and data science conceptsA keen eye for detail and a commitment to scientific accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the English languageStrong commitment to teamwork and communication skillsProficiency in the Python deep learning and scientific stackGood-to-have: Related publications (preferably in a conference such as MICCAI, ISBI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICIP, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc.)Experience with MLOps and reproducible experiment managementWe are looking for brilliant, hard-working people who strive to become recognised thought leaders in their domain.
