Job Summary: As an English Proofreader at The Elite Job, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and clarity of written materials. Working closely with our content creators, you will meticulously review and refine documents to uphold our high standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• * Thoroughly proofread various written materials, including but not limited to articles, reports, and marketing content.
• * Identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax.
• * Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting throughout all documents.
• * Collaborate effectively with writers and editors to maintain coherence and coherence in messaging.
• * Meet deadlines while maintaining a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• * Proficiency in English language, including advanced knowledge of grammar and syntax.
• * Proven experience in proofreading and editing written content.
• * Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• * Familiarity with style guides such as AP, MLA, or Chicago Manual of Style preferred.
• * Bachelor degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience:
• * Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional proofreading or editing roles.
• Working Hours:
• * Full-time position with standard working hours, Monday through Friday.
• Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• * Excellent command of the English language.
• * Proficiency in using proofreading tools and software.
• * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
