Job Summary: The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment, and ensuring the well-being of all students. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lesson plans as instructed by the regular classroom teacher and/or school administrators
Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment, ensuring the well-being of all students
Communicate effectively with students, staff, administration, and others
Maintain order and discipline in the classroom, conducive to effective learning
Adapt to individual learning needs, providing individual and small group instruction
Participate in professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills
Requirements:
Experience working with students (preferred)
Detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret lesson plans, technical procedures, and textbooks
Experience with technology equipment
Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) or Substitute License (SUB) through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
