Logistics Support Coordinator
About the position Responsibilities • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation and inventory management. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues or delays. • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Manage relationships with customers. • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and transactions. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and logistics activities. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their logistics needs and provide effective solutions. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role. • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, demand planning, e-commerce, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and vendor management. • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting using relevant software tools. • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. • Knowledge of profit loss analysis and cost optimization strategies in logistics operations. • Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and documentation requirements.
