Logistics Coordinator
About the position
Blade Platforms is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the ordering of Oversize/Overweight (OS/OW) permits for the mobilization of extralegal trucks across the US and Canada. This role involves ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, maintaining vehicle records, and supporting the operational efficiency of the company's logistics processes.
Responsibilities
• Ordering OS/OW Permits
,
• Ordering Trip and Fuel permits
,
• Planning routes of travel
,
• Arranging movements to meet required timelines
,
• Reporting on driver compliance programs
,
• Keeping driver records up to date
,
• Keeping truck detail packs up to date
,
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001
,
• Managing recruiting, when necessary, with support of HR
,
• Promoting a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
,
• Ensuring all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations
,
• Working with the Management Team to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals
,
• Identifying and addressing problems and opportunities for the company
,
• Building alliances and partnerships with other organizations
,
• Supporting worker communication with the management team
Requirements
• 2 years of experience in Permit Ordering & DOT Compliance
,
• Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
,
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues
,
• Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening
,
• Ability to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism
,
• Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills
,
• High level of attention to detail
,
• Computer literate with strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
,
• Ability to follow and create procedures to support ISO compliance
