Job Summary of Load Handler:
Seeking individuals willing to join our team, UPS presents this physically demanding opportunity. The role involves efficiently and securely loading and unloading packages and freight from trucks and delivery vehicles. Success in this position is dependent on attention to detail, quickness, and physical stamina in a fast-paced setting to ensure packages arrive on time and undamaged.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Load Handler:
Ā Transport packages and goods onto and off of trucks and delivery vehicles.
Ā Ensure packages are carefully managed and placed correctly according to their intended destinations.
Ā Keep your workspace well-organized and free of any mess.
Ā Observe and adhere to the recommended safety guidelines and procedures.
Ā Evaluate packages for potential damage and alert appropriate persoel promptly.
Ā Coordinate efforts with team members to achieve operational goals within specified timeframes.
Qualifications and Experience of Load Handler:
Ā Able to manage packages weighing as much as 70 pounds.
Ā Sharp focus on particulars and effective organizational aptitude.
Ā Stamina and strength to cope with frequent lifting and prolonged standing.
Ā Capacity to excel in a high-speed work setting and deliver on urgent deadlines.
Ā Experience in a warehouse environment or roles that involve loading and unloading is an asset but not mandatory.
Ā Ability to handle fluctuating work hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
