Litigation Immigration Paralegal

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal with strong experience in immigration litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in preparing and filing complex immigration cases, with a focus on removal defense, federal litigation, and appellate work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at legal research and writing, and is passionate about advocating for immigrant communities.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, draft, and file immigration litigation matters, including:
• Motions, briefs, and court filings for EOIR (Immigration Court)
• USCIS responses (RFE, NOID, Appeals)
• BIA appeals
• Federal court filings (e.g., Habeas petitions, Mandamus actions), as applicable
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and client communication.
• Conduct legal research on case law, regulations, and procedural requirements.
• Organize and compile evidence for filings, including exhibits, indexes, and declarations.
• Assist attorneys during hearings and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and prepare affidavits.
• Manage case files in accordance with firm procedures and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of paralegal experience in immigration law; litigation experience required.
• Strong understanding of:
• Removal defense
• Motions practice
• EOIR procedures
• Asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, and related relief
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
